Yes. The videos, the written notes, the practice questions and the SQL Playground are free to use, with no sign-up and no payment. There is no hidden fee. If it helps you, the best thing you can do is share it with one friend who is stuck, and subscribe to the YouTube channel so new videos reach you.
This is my opinion, and you should judge it yourself. Most of the concepts in a SQL course are also available free. What a paid course can add is a fixed schedule, a mentor and someone pushing you to finish, and that has real value if you need it. Free needs more discipline. If you can practise a little every day, free material plus a small project you can explain is enough to start. If you need structure and accountability, a paid course may be worth it, but ask the five questions below first.
Ask five things. One: how many people joined, and how many got jobs? Ask for the number and the time period, not only a few success stories. Two: what exactly does "guarantee" mean, and is there a refund, and under what conditions? Three: what will I be able to do at the end, and can I see a real sample lesson or project? Four: who teaches me, and can I reach them with a doubt? Five: what are all the costs, including any income share or extra fees? If the answers are vague, walk away.
I will not promise that, and no teacher honestly can. What I can promise is the skill: you will be able to ask questions of a database and explain your answers. Jobs come from skills you can show, such as a small project you can explain, so build one as you learn.
Yes. The course starts from zero and explains every term before using it. If you can open a browser, you can begin. The Get Started series shows you how to set everything up.
To practise on your own computer, you install PostgreSQL, pgAdmin, VS Code and Git. There is a one-command installer for Windows and for Mac, and a step-by-step manual route for each. If you only want to try SQL first, the SQL Playground runs real PostgreSQL in your browser with nothing to install.
Either works. The Get Started series covers both, and the notes pages list every command.
Start with the Get Started series: set up your tools, meet the practice database, load it, and take a tour of the site. Then begin with the first module.
It depends on you. In my experience, small daily practice beats a long session once a week. Thirty minutes a day, with the practice questions, is a solid start.
The questions are live for every topic, in four levels: Easy, Medium, Hard and Crazy. Worked answers are being added topic by topic. Until then, post your query in the WhatsApp Community or on Discord and we will check it together.
